HIFIMAN Releases HE600, ANANDA Unveiled, and Edition XV Headphones

The three new models — ANANDA Unveiled, HE600, and Edition XV — are open-back planar magnetic headphones with newly developed, ultra-thin diaphragms, enhanced-comfort headbands, and more.

HIFIMAN has announced and released three new exciting headphones:

HE600

HIFIMAN’S HE600 Brings a HIFIMAN Favorite into the Modern Era

BELLMORE, NY, September 12, 2025 –HIFIMAN, the leader in high fidelity personal audio, today announced the arrival of the new HE600 open-back planar magnetic headphone in North America.

The new HE600 (SRP: $799) is the third edition of the original HE6, one of HIFIMAN’s most popular models. The new model, which follows the HE6se (2018), continues the series tradition by further reducing the weight of the headband while enhancing the sensitivity making it an ideal match for nearly any source, from a dedicated desktop ampflifier to the average smartphone.

“High sensitivity headphones are perfectly suited to portable devices, but the trick is creating a model that is simultaneously notable for its detailed sonics and expansive soundstage, no matter the source,” says Dr. Fang Bian, President and CEO, HIFIMAN Electronics. “The HE6 set such a standard for the market, and now the HE600 is taking it to an all-new, even higher level.”

The new HE600 picks up where its predecessors left off, replicating the sonics of the original HE6 when it is driven by a high-power amplifier, yet its improved sensitivity allows it to achieve this output when paired with a wide variety of sources.

The HE600 ‘s magnet system is a mixture of HIFIMAN’s well-known Stealth Magnet and a newly invented magnet called “enhanced magnet.” Both magnets are acoustically transparent, dramatically reducing wave diffraction turbulence that degrades the integrity of the sound waves, maximizing the accuracy of the sonic output.

The new “enhanced magnet” uses rare-earth-free magnetic materials with an optimally designed structure achieve a level of sensitivity that is comparable to drivers with rare-earth magnets.

Also included is a new super-thin “NEO Supernano diaphragm” that is 40% thinner than the previous “supernano diaphragm.” The sum total of benefits from these new technologies is demonstrably improved, full-range, natural-sounding sonics.

A new HIFIMAN-developed composite headband is significantly lighter than that of the original HE6 — 13.7 oz. compared to 17.7 oz. For added comfort, the HE600 includes HIFIMAN’s proprietary FocusPad ear pad with memory foam surrounded by pleather and soft velour, for maximum comfort over extended listening sessions. New 3.5mm inputs are angled at 10 degrees to reduce pressure on the connection between the cable and the headphone.

The HE600’s sensitivity is 94dB, with a frequency range of 8Hz-65kHz. Impedance is measured at 28 ohms, and total weight (minus packaging) is 13.7 oz.

ANANDA Unveiled

HIFIMAN Brings New ANANDA Unveiled to the North American Market

Third-generation ANANDA Features Upgraded Components and HIFIMAN’s Signature Unveiled Grill Design

BELLMORE, NY, September 12, 2025 –HIFIMAN, the leader in high fidelity personal audio, is using the occasion of CanJam SoCal ’25 to introduce the ANANDA UNVEILED to the North American market.

Like other select HIFIMAN top-tier models, ANANDA UNVEILED (SRP: $549) is specially designed to maximize the exposure rate of the grills because the nanometer-thick diaphragm is so lightweight that reflections from the grill disturb the movement pattern of the diaphragm.

“ANANDA models are in high demand by music-lovers who appreciate a sensitive headphone that performs impeccably when paired nearly any device, from a smartphone to desktop amplifier,” says Dr. Fang Bian, President and CEO, HIFIMAN Electronics. “As our latest entry in the ANANDA series, ANANDA UNVEILED combines the best of our recent technological developments with the expansive soundstage and detailed presentation that made ANANDA a music-lover’s favorite.”

Following in the footsteps of the original ANANDA and recently introduced ANANDA-BT Bluetooth open-back planar magnetic headphones, the ANANDA UNVEILED incorporates the original’s expansive sound signature with an array of HIFIMAN-developed updates.

A removable back panel, called Magnetic Veils, fits over the ear cups, helping to avoid damage caused by the absorption of magnetic objects when the headphone is not in use.

In addition to the Magnetic Veils design, the ANANDA UNVEILED’s magnet system is a mixture of HIFIMAN’s well-known Stealth Magnet and a newly invented magnet called “enhanced magnet.” Both magnets are acoustically transparent, dramatically reducing wave diffraction turbulence that degrades the integrity of the sound waves, maximizing the accuracy of the sonic output.

Rounding out the upgrades is a composite headband that weighs up to 30g less than typical designs, with rotatable hinges for enhanced comfort.

Designed for use with a wide range of devices, ANANDA UNVEILED’s sensitivity is 93dB, with a frequency range of 5Hz-55kHz. Impedance is measured at 22 ohms, and total weight (minus packaging) is 15.8 oz.

Edition XV

HIFIMAN Introduces Edition XV:

A Feature-Packed Audiophile-Grade Headphone at a Real-World Price

Third-Generation Edition Open-Back Planar Headphone

Places Equal Emphasis on Fit and Performance

BELLMORE, NY, September 12, 2025 –HIFIMAN, a leader in high fidelity personal audio, today announced the Edition XS, the latest edition in its Edition series of high-performance, high-value open-back headphones.

Shipping this month, the Edition XV (SRP: $399) is available through select dealers and online at the company’s store, in addition to Amazon.

Like the original Edition X and more recent Edition XS, which were respectively introduced in 2015 and 2022, the new Edition XV is a high-fidelity open-back planar headphone a natural soundstage that reproduces music precisely as it was recorded and mastered.

In addition, there is an enhanced magnet for improved dynamics and a second-generation headband that is light and strong.

“The Edition series is proving to be one of our most popular lines of headphones,” says Dr. Fang Bian, President and CEO, HIFIMAN Electronics. “The Edition X and Edition XS both exceeded expectations to become two of our most successful models. The Edition XV is poised to continue the tradition, with improvements and performance that rise above anything in its price class.”

The Edition XV brings multiple demonstrable improvements to the Edition series.

Previous Edition headphones relied on the Supernano diphragm, which is very thin and close to 1 micrometer thick. The new Edition XV takes the series further with the new super-thin “NEO Supernano diaphragm” that is 40% thinner than the previous model.

The Edition XV also features a newly enhanced Stealth Magnet that is acoustically transparent, dramatically reducing wave diffraction turbulence that degrades the integrity of the sound waves, maximizing the accuracy of the sonic output.

The new “enhanced magnet” uses rare-earth-free magnetic materials with an optimally designed structure to achieve a level of sensitivity that is comparable to drivers with rare-earth magnets.

With these new technologies, listeners will enjoy  demonstrably improved, full-range, natural-sounding sonics.

Rounding out the upgrades is a composite headband that weighs up to 30g less than typical designs, with rotatable hinges for enhanced comfort. The new lightweight headband features high-grade memory foam for a comfortable fit and lasting elasticity. In addition, the cable sockets are like those found on most common audio devices. The supplied cable is changeable and upgradeable. The new Edition XV open-back planar headphone features an impedance of 12ohms, sensitivity measured at 92dB, and a frequency response of 8Hz – 50kHz. Its weight is 16 oz
